Ginebra to Get Rey Nambatac From Rain or Shine | PBA Latest Trade Rumors 2021


Ginebra already has a formidable lineup, what with the addition of Christian Standhardinger. But now it looks like coach Tim Cone wants another shooter by the name of Rey Nambatac of Rain or Shine.

Nambatac has been a revelation at Rain or Shine. He was not talked about much during his rookie year. But he has shown he can deliver in the clutch. There are now reports Ginebra is interested in Nambatac and is talking with Rain or Shine about a possible trade.

If Ginebra gets Nambatac, that will boost the backcourt of the Gin Kings. Nambatac is a good 3 point shooter who can space the floor for japeth Aguilar and Christian Standhardinger. 

Nambatac can also play point guard and allow LA Tenorio to rest. Or he can play shooting guard along with Stanley Pringle. Together they will give Tim Cone more options.

For a long time now, Ginebra has always wanted a good outside shooter. Jeff Chan plays that role, but when he is injured there is no one to fill up the spot. Nambatac can be that player. 

The only question now is who can Ginebra offer Rain or Shine for Nambatac? Let us wait for further developments.

Ginebra Planning to Get Parks and Wright | PBA trade news now

Ginebra is already a favorite, but there are persistent rumors that the team wants to be even stronger by adding more players. Two names often linked to Ginebra are Bobby Ray Parks and Matthew Wright. Parks has made it clear he wants to play for Ginebra. But the situation he has found himself in makes trading him difficult. With the uncertainty about Japeth Aguilar and Christian Standhardinger, is there a possibility that Greg Slaughter will return to Ginebra? Aguilar and Standhardinger have huge contract offers from Japan. If one or both of them accept it, that will leave Ginebra with a big problem, literally. They need someone who will man the middle.  Could Slaughter be the answer? While Christian has struggled with the triangle offense of Cone, Greg is familiar with it. The problem has always been he has never played well with Japeth.  But if Japeth accepts the offer from Japan, that could make things easier for Greg. But will Greg want to come back knowing Cone wanted to trade him for Christian? And what about Magnolia who needs Greg too?
