Big PBA Trade in the Works | PBA trades 2021


Before this season started, Poenix was considered one of the teams that could challenge the SMC and MVP teams. Though they lost Calvin Abueva, they got Chris Banchero and Vic Manuel.

But now their record is 1-4 and have games against Rain or Shine, NLEX and SMB ahead. Four teams will be eliminated and their is a chance that Phoenix could be one of them.

Now management is reportedly looking for a big trade. But who will be involved?

Phoenix looks like they need a big man. Justin Chua is their only center along with Jake Pascual, and both play more like stretch 4s. They have an abundance in the 3 and 4 with Wright, Perkins and Manuel.

A lot of teams are of course interested in Wright, Perkins and Manuel, but giiving them up will not make Phoenix stronger. Unless they decide this season is lost and that it is time to rebuild.

The other problem with Phoenix is they do not have a first round pick for next season's draft. They gave it away in the Vic Manuel trade. So let us see what management will do in this situation.

The other thing that is hanging over their heads is the status of the team. Will it stay in the PBA? Will Dennis Uy sell it? These are probably some of the reasons why Phoenix is not performing as well as it did compared to last season.

Blackwater is said to be interested in Magnolia backup big man Kyle Pascual. And the team might be willing to offer a draft pick or player. We all know that Magnolia is in need of a big man. TerraFirma Wants Prince Caperal of Ginebra | Ginebra Trade

TerraFirma reportedly wants Ginebra backup big man Prince Caperal. But it is unclear who they will give up in return, or if the Gin Kings will agree. Terrafirma has been battered by injuries, and having someone like Caperal can certainly help them. But is it a good idea for Ginebra to trade him? Caperal had a breakout last season and won most improved player. But his playing time has gone down with the arrival of Christian Standhardinger. Caperal would definitely get more playing time if he was at TerraFirma, a team that needs a big to pair up with James Laput. And if Caperal were to leave Ginebra, that could give more playing time for rookie Ken Sagulo, who has been languishing on the bench. Such a trade will benefit Caperal and Sagulo. Greg Slaughter to Return to Ginebra? | PBA Rumors

With the uncertainty about Japeth Aguilar and Christian Standhardinger, is there a possibility that Greg Slaughter will return to Ginebra? Aguilar and Standhardinger have huge contract offers from Japan. If one or both of them accept it, that will leave Ginebra with a big problem, literally. They need someone who will man the middle.  Could Slaughter be the answer? While Christian has struggled with the triangle offense of Cone, Greg is familiar with it. The problem has always been he has never played well with Japeth.  But if Japeth accepts the offer from Japan, that could make things easier for Greg. But will Greg want to come back knowing Cone wanted to trade him for Christian? And what about Magnolia who needs Greg too? And it could be possible that Ginebra will want a younger big man like Troy Rike or James Laput, maybe even someone from the draft.
