Magnolia and Phoenix Trade Talks | PBA Trade Alert


The Phoenix Fulemasters are said to be interested in acquiring Jackson Corpuz, but will Magnolia agree to dal him?

Magnolia has been hesitant to change its lineup because they are winning. But once they start to lose, it could be a different matter altogether. Corpuz in fact has been mentioned in the Greg Slaughter trade talks, where reportedly he along with Jio Jalalon and a 1st round pick will be traded. But that has not happened yet.

It is easy to see why Phoenix wants Corpuz. They need a tough defender and a reliable scorer. With Corpuz he will make a good tandem with Vic Manuel and Jason Perkins. The question is who can Phoenix offer for this player?

We also need to consider that Magnolia might want to preserve Corpuz for that Slaughter trade if it pushes through. 

However a lot of this is still up in the air. It all depends on how these teams perform and who Magnolia will get in return. 

Whether Corpuz stays at Magnolia, goes to Phoenix or another team, one thing is certain is that whoever gets him will want to keep him. Corpuz has shown he is a reliable player, capable of defending locals and imports alike.

Blackwater is said to be interested in Magnolia backup big man Kyle Pascual. And the team might be willing to offer a draft pick or player. We all know that Magnolia is in need of a big man. TerraFirma Wants Prince Caperal of Ginebra | Ginebra Trade

TerraFirma reportedly wants Ginebra backup big man Prince Caperal. But it is unclear who they will give up in return, or if the Gin Kings will agree. Terrafirma has been battered by injuries, and having someone like Caperal can certainly help them. But is it a good idea for Ginebra to trade him? Caperal had a breakout last season and won most improved player. But his playing time has gone down with the arrival of Christian Standhardinger. Caperal would definitely get more playing time if he was at TerraFirma, a team that needs a big to pair up with James Laput. And if Caperal were to leave Ginebra, that could give more playing time for rookie Ken Sagulo, who has been languishing on the bench. Such a trade will benefit Caperal and Sagulo. Greg Slaughter to Return to Ginebra? | PBA Rumors

With the uncertainty about Japeth Aguilar and Christian Standhardinger, is there a possibility that Greg Slaughter will return to Ginebra? Aguilar and Standhardinger have huge contract offers from Japan. If one or both of them accept it, that will leave Ginebra with a big problem, literally. They need someone who will man the middle.  Could Slaughter be the answer? While Christian has struggled with the triangle offense of Cone, Greg is familiar with it. The problem has always been he has never played well with Japeth.  But if Japeth accepts the offer from Japan, that could make things easier for Greg. But will Greg want to come back knowing Cone wanted to trade him for Christian? And what about Magnolia who needs Greg too? And it could be possible that Ginebra will want a younger big man like Troy Rike or James Laput, maybe even someone from the draft.
