Robert Bolick to be Traded to SMB or Ginebra? | PBA trade alert


The latest tweet from Snow Badua says that two point guards will be traded for each in 2022. No names were mentioned except one is a Borat type and the other is crafty.

The Borat guard is obviously Robert Bolick, who has been playing superb basketball. The other guard though is the one in question. The only clue is that he is crafty. 

This is applicable to both LA Tenorio and Chris Ross. Both are also aging and their teams need a young point guard in return.

But will Ginebra really trade Tenorio? It seems to me that eLAwill retire a Gin King, just as Arwind Santos will retire a Beerman. But Tenorio has ties to Bonnie Tan, Northport team manager, so there is that.

One thing clear though, is that Robert Bolick will not stay long at Northport. And that is a shame since the Batang Pier have a solid lineup with Bolick, Slaughter and Malonzo, plus Rike, Anthony and Omwubere.

If they keep this core, Northport will be a serious title contender. But that is unlikely as these players will find their way to SMC. For now we can only wait to see which SMC team Bolick will go to.

TerraFirma Wants Prince Caperal of Ginebra | Ginebra Trade

TerraFirma reportedly wants Ginebra backup big man Prince Caperal. But it is unclear who they will give up in return, or if the Gin Kings will agree. Terrafirma has been battered by injuries, and having someone like Caperal can certainly help them. But is it a good idea for Ginebra to trade him? Caperal had a breakout last season and won most improved player. But his playing time has gone down with the arrival of Christian Standhardinger. Caperal would definitely get more playing time if he was at TerraFirma, a team that needs a big to pair up with James Laput. And if Caperal were to leave Ginebra, that could give more playing time for rookie Ken Sagulo, who has been languishing on the bench. Such a trade will benefit Caperal and Sagulo. Greg Slaughter to Return to Ginebra? | PBA Rumors

With the uncertainty about Japeth Aguilar and Christian Standhardinger, is there a possibility that Greg Slaughter will return to Ginebra? Aguilar and Standhardinger have huge contract offers from Japan. If one or both of them accept it, that will leave Ginebra with a big problem, literally. They need someone who will man the middle.  Could Slaughter be the answer? While Christian has struggled with the triangle offense of Cone, Greg is familiar with it. The problem has always been he has never played well with Japeth.  But if Japeth accepts the offer from Japan, that could make things easier for Greg. But will Greg want to come back knowing Cone wanted to trade him for Christian? And what about Magnolia who needs Greg too? And it could be possible that Ginebra will want a younger big man like Troy Rike or James Laput, maybe even someone from the draft.
