SMB Will Make Trades Soon?| PBA trade alert


SMB has one of the most powerful lineups in the league. Yet they are in the middle of the standings right now. So do not be surprised if management nictitates some trades.

The problem with SMB is injuries. Terrence Romeo is injury prone and Alex Cabagnot has been out for weeks. Perhaps it is time for SMB to trade Cabagnot for a younger player who can play longer minutes. It is unlikely they will trade Romeo even though he is injury prone.

The name most often linked is Robert Bolick. No doubt he will be a huge upgrade and will form an awesome combination with Perez and Romeo. But will Cabagnot be enough? Or will SMB have to give up Ross as well?

Teh other thing they need is a big man. Arwind is playing superb basketball at 40 years young, but he needs help in that position. Austria is basically using three bigs at the 4 and 5, so they need another one.

A lot of this will depend on how SMB does in this conference. If they win the championship, management might keep the core. if not, and if TNT reigns supreme, expect major changes to SMB. And probably Ginebra too.

TerraFirma Wants Prince Caperal of Ginebra | Ginebra Trade

TerraFirma reportedly wants Ginebra backup big man Prince Caperal. But it is unclear who they will give up in return, or if the Gin Kings will agree. Terrafirma has been battered by injuries, and having someone like Caperal can certainly help them. But is it a good idea for Ginebra to trade him? Caperal had a breakout last season and won most improved player. But his playing time has gone down with the arrival of Christian Standhardinger. Caperal would definitely get more playing time if he was at TerraFirma, a team that needs a big to pair up with James Laput. And if Caperal were to leave Ginebra, that could give more playing time for rookie Ken Sagulo, who has been languishing on the bench. Such a trade will benefit Caperal and Sagulo. Greg Slaughter to Return to Ginebra? | PBA Rumors

With the uncertainty about Japeth Aguilar and Christian Standhardinger, is there a possibility that Greg Slaughter will return to Ginebra? Aguilar and Standhardinger have huge contract offers from Japan. If one or both of them accept it, that will leave Ginebra with a big problem, literally. They need someone who will man the middle.  Could Slaughter be the answer? While Christian has struggled with the triangle offense of Cone, Greg is familiar with it. The problem has always been he has never played well with Japeth.  But if Japeth accepts the offer from Japan, that could make things easier for Greg. But will Greg want to come back knowing Cone wanted to trade him for Christian? And what about Magnolia who needs Greg too? And it could be possible that Ginebra will want a younger big man like Troy Rike or James Laput, maybe even someone from the draft.
