Top Guard on the Trading Block? | PBA latest trade rumors


There is talk going around that TNT wants Chris Newsome from Meralco. Is this true?

We know that if TNT wants something, it will find ways to get it, even at the expense of its sister teams. They took RR Pogoy, Poy Erram and the draft rights for Mikey Williams from Nlex. So if they want Newsome, they can get him.

But should they? Right now Mikey Williams is finding his groove in TNT and is playing beautiful music with Castro and Pogoy. While Newsome is also playing well at Meralco with new teammate Mac Belo.

Everything will probably depend on their performance this conference. And it will also depend on coach Norman Black. he will definitely want a good replacement for Newsome if this trade ever happens. 

Newsome is one of the top guards in the league today. If he will be traded, expect him to command a hefty price. Of course TNT is not the only team interested in Newsome as a lot of teams as well. But for now, coach Black has no intention of letting his prized guard go. At least not without getting a superstar in return.

TerraFirma Wants Prince Caperal of Ginebra | Ginebra Trade

TerraFirma reportedly wants Ginebra backup big man Prince Caperal. But it is unclear who they will give up in return, or if the Gin Kings will agree. Terrafirma has been battered by injuries, and having someone like Caperal can certainly help them. But is it a good idea for Ginebra to trade him? Caperal had a breakout last season and won most improved player. But his playing time has gone down with the arrival of Christian Standhardinger. Caperal would definitely get more playing time if he was at TerraFirma, a team that needs a big to pair up with James Laput. And if Caperal were to leave Ginebra, that could give more playing time for rookie Ken Sagulo, who has been languishing on the bench. Such a trade will benefit Caperal and Sagulo. Greg Slaughter to Return to Ginebra? | PBA Rumors

With the uncertainty about Japeth Aguilar and Christian Standhardinger, is there a possibility that Greg Slaughter will return to Ginebra? Aguilar and Standhardinger have huge contract offers from Japan. If one or both of them accept it, that will leave Ginebra with a big problem, literally. They need someone who will man the middle.  Could Slaughter be the answer? While Christian has struggled with the triangle offense of Cone, Greg is familiar with it. The problem has always been he has never played well with Japeth.  But if Japeth accepts the offer from Japan, that could make things easier for Greg. But will Greg want to come back knowing Cone wanted to trade him for Christian? And what about Magnolia who needs Greg too? And it could be possible that Ginebra will want a younger big man like Troy Rike or James Laput, maybe even someone from the draft.
