Will TNT Trade Troy Rosario to NLEX? | PBA News


Troy Rosario has been a mainstay at TNT, and he recently signed a new contract. But will he stay there? Or will he eventually land in NLEX for rookie forward Calvin Oftana?

Oftana got off to a slow start but eventually got his bearings. So now the question is how long before he ends up at TN? There is no question that Oftana plays a lot like Troy and will have no problem fitting in the system of coach Chot.

But will Yeng agree to such a trade? He was not happy when they had to give up their pick to TNT, who turned out to be Mikey Williams. They had already given up Erram too. Now Oftana?

If TNT does get Oftana, do not be surprised if Yeng Guiao resigns. He probably never thought he would coach a farm team when joined the MVP group.

However a lot of things can still happen. If TNT does well here in the Philippine Cup, Rosario might stay. But if they get eliminated, expect more changes to come for the MVP flagship team. And that mean Oftana moving over.

TerraFirma Wants Prince Caperal of Ginebra | Ginebra Trade

TerraFirma reportedly wants Ginebra backup big man Prince Caperal. But it is unclear who they will give up in return, or if the Gin Kings will agree. Terrafirma has been battered by injuries, and having someone like Caperal can certainly help them. But is it a good idea for Ginebra to trade him? Caperal had a breakout last season and won most improved player. But his playing time has gone down with the arrival of Christian Standhardinger. Caperal would definitely get more playing time if he was at TerraFirma, a team that needs a big to pair up with James Laput. And if Caperal were to leave Ginebra, that could give more playing time for rookie Ken Sagulo, who has been languishing on the bench. Such a trade will benefit Caperal and Sagulo. Greg Slaughter to Return to Ginebra? | PBA Rumors

With the uncertainty about Japeth Aguilar and Christian Standhardinger, is there a possibility that Greg Slaughter will return to Ginebra? Aguilar and Standhardinger have huge contract offers from Japan. If one or both of them accept it, that will leave Ginebra with a big problem, literally. They need someone who will man the middle.  Could Slaughter be the answer? While Christian has struggled with the triangle offense of Cone, Greg is familiar with it. The problem has always been he has never played well with Japeth.  But if Japeth accepts the offer from Japan, that could make things easier for Greg. But will Greg want to come back knowing Cone wanted to trade him for Christian? And what about Magnolia who needs Greg too? And it could be possible that Ginebra will want a younger big man like Troy Rike or James Laput, maybe even someone from the draft.
